An old stone cellar with oak barrels and dusty bottles resting in wall niches

Our own activity

Our Cellar

Wines&Joy puts its own money into bottles, cases and independent wineries. This page explains how, and why we tell you.

What this is, and isn’t

Wines&Joy does not sell investment products or give investment advice to others. Nothing on this site is an offer, a recommendation to invest, or a promise of return.

Back what is genuinely interesting, before it is obvious.

We put our own money where our curiosity is. Some wines are acquired for return, in money or in bottles. Others join the Wines&Joy cellar for tastings, education and events.

Bottles and cases

Chosen on the merits. What we look at:

  • Producer trajectory
  • Quality and scarcity
  • Vintage and provenance
  • Ageing potential
  • Market recognition and relative value
  • Long-term demand

Wineries

We may support independent producers in different ways, structured to suit both sides.

  • Financial investment
  • Revenue participation
  • Strategic support
  • Long-term allocations
  • Returns paid partly or wholly in wine

A selection from the cellar

A selection as of October 2026, not the full list. Famous names sit next to bottles most people have not heard of, and both belong. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy.

If we write about any of these producers, the article says so. How we disclose

How we keep it honest

  • Any interest we hold is labelled on the page or post where the wine or producer appears.
  • Opinions are presented as opinions, and claims about producers rest on facts.
  • We don't promise returns, and wine can fall in value as well as rise.
